Orchestra Performances

The students in the Oak Park orchestra program participate in many performances throughout the school year. While the fourth grade orchestra students play in two formal concerts, the fifth grade orchestra play in at least three formal concerts along with many public performances around San Diego.
These performances help students learn about:
- Responsibility - practicing at home, preparing for the concert and showing up on time are very important!
- Teamwork - working and practicing together to have a great performance!
- Concert Etiquette - dressing appropriately and demonstrating proper behavior in a concert setting.
- Community Service - performing at retirement homes, Balboa Park or school concerts gives us the opportunity to share our special gifts from Oak Park.
